If you've recently changed professions, you can change your occupation at any time, directly through My Portal ✏️

It is a legal requirement to ensure all details on your policy are correct and accurate, including your occupation 👨‍⚖️

To change your occupation, select the policy you would like to make the adjustment to, and then simply tap the ‘Manage Policy’ button located at the bottom of the page 📲

Next, select ‘Change Occupation’ from the options available and complete the form by entering the details of your new job 📝



You will normally receive an instant quotation for the change, which you can review prior to confirmation. In some rare cases, the app may not be able to return and price and you may need to call one of our friendly agents, a direct phone number will popup if so 📞

For changes made through the online portal, there will be a reduced admin fee of £40. 

Your premium may increase, decrease or stay the same depending the underwriters risk criteria based on the new details 🧮

If your insurer has determined your new occupation is in a higher risk category, your premium is likely to increase. The difference in premium would be required to be paid in order to maintain cover 🙂

If your insurer has determined your new occupation is in a lower risk category, your premium is likely to decrease. You would receive a refund for this difference or have your monthly instalments adjusted accordingly 🥳

In many cases, your premium will remain the same and you would only be required to pay the admin fee 😌
